Analyst – Farm Inputs
Based in the Utrecht office, Chiakai researches the farm inputs sector in Europe, focusing on agrochemicals, seeds, and the biotechnologies (such as gene editing) that play a crucial role in food system transitions.
Prior to joining Rabobank, she worked as a plant scientist for Utrecht University, covering a research project of light control on root system architecture in plants. Before moving to the Netherlands, she specialized in agronomy and data analytics, working on large long-term projects in fields as well as molecular biology-focused laboratory solutions for rice farming.
Chiakai holds a PhD degree in Plant Ecophysiology from Utrecht University, a MSc degree in Environmental Protection & Agricultural Food Production from University of Hohenheim, and a BSc degree in Agronomy from National Taiwan University.
