Barend Bekamp
Specialist – Food & Agriculture
Barend Bekamp works as a Specialist – Food & Agriculture at RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness. He focuses mainly on Rabobank clients in the Netherlands and Europe and specialises on cross-sector themes like sustainable farming, (European) agricultural policies and developments of farmers’ incomes. Barend is based in the Netherlands.
Prior to working at Rabobank, Barend worked for almost 10 years as a consultant at Buck Consultants International (BCI). Here he worked amongst others on sustainable (livestock) farming, spatial planning of greenhouses and research projects on (regional) economic structure and competitiveness of the food&agri sector.
Barend completed his bachelor’s degree at Wageningen University (Land Use Planning) and holds two masters from Utrecht University (Economic Geography and Spatial Planning).
