Lead of F&A Data Analytics - North America

Pablo Sherwell is the Lead of F&A Data Analytics for North America. Over the past few years, Pablo has developed a strong research team in North America that has continuously focused on providing tailored and in-depth food and agribusiness knowledge and deepened our analytics-based research efforts.

Pablo has had an extensive career as an agricultural economist. He joined Rabobank in 2012 as a senior analyst in the Mexico City office. He was responsible for coordinating the economic analysis of the Mexican agricultural and food sector with an emphasis on animal protein, grains & oilseeds, and sugar. Additionally, he integrated the entire NAFTA region into most of his research and analysis.  

Prior to joining Rabobank, Pablo was adjunct general director for the Mexican ministry of agriculture (SAGARPA) since 2007, where he directed economic analysis pertaining to Mexico’s agricultural sectors. He also has experience working in FIRA-Banco de México as an economic studies analyst. He has expertise in developing large-scale agro economic models. 

Pablo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de las Américas-Puebla, a master’s degree in economics from Texas Tech University, and a doctorate in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University.
