Head of RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness - North America
Pablo Sherwell heads the RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness North America team. Previously, he worked as a senior analyst within RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness, and was responsible for coordinating the economic analysis of Mexican agricultural markets with a focus on animal protein, grains and sugar.
Prior to joining Rabobank in March 2012, he was Adjunct General Director in the Mexican Ministry of Agriculture (SAGARPA) since 2007, where he directed economic analysis pertaining to Mexico’s agricultural sectors. He also has experience working in FIRA-Banco de México as an analyst in the division of economic studies.
As an economist, Pablo has ample experience in building partial equilibrium models to analyze agricultural markets. In addition, he has conducted several research projects on price analysis, including price forecasting.
Pablo has a bachelor degree in economics from Universidad de las Americas-Puebla, a master degree in economics from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University.
