Aligning Regenerative Agriculture Targets in the Beer Value Chain

Among beverage companies, efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generally include a focus on Scope 3, as this is often where the lion’s share of emissions are generated. To address Scope 3 emissions in their agricultural value chains, beverage companies are increasingly exploring ways to promote regenerative agriculture as part of the solution. We recently investigated the beer value chain to see what this looks like in practice and saw significant hurdles. But we believe that, over time, important progress can be made.
