“With these developments in mind, we see the reasons for interregional purchases becoming more compelling for farmers,” writes Wes Lefroy, agricultural analyst. However, interregional purchases are complex, and can bring operational and managerial challenges.
“We consider that now, and in the future, farmers should broaden their land expansion horizons, using our ‘inside, then out’ approach to unlock opportunities to buy Australian cropping land.”
