Senior Macro Strategist - US
As a Senior US Strategist Philip is responsible for Rabobank’s US outlook and makes frequent media appearances.
He writes and gives client presentations on topics such as Fed policy, the US business cycle, interest rates, and the impact of US politics on financial markets. He has developed econometric models to analyze the US yield curve, international interest rate spreads and carry trades.
Before joining Rabobank, he worked as a researcher and as a project manager at Maastricht University on various applied econometric research projects for the European Commission and the Dutch government. He also taught advanced courses in monetary economics and financial markets at Maastricht University.
He has an M.Sc. in econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. His academic research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of International Money and Finance, and the Journal of Macroeconomics and has been quoted in the Handbook of Computational Economics.
